A lot people I
met here have asked me that, “do you miss your family studying abroad?” I would
say not too much, because I can facetime with them whenever I want to,
ignoring the time difference >.< However, I really miss food in my
hometown, because I cannot satisfy just facetime with them!
As I have said,
my hometown is famous for panda, but it is known for spicy food as well. The
province I stay is a basin, where it is difficult to remove moist air. Living
in humid weather, people in the past felt uncomfortable. Then, they found peppers could help them eliminate dampness in their body. After that, people
love spicy food.
The
representative of chili food in our place is hot pot. It is a good way to
gather friends and families to have fun while eating. We just need to put what we
want to eat in the boiling water. I cannot find any authentic restaurants
eating hot pot here, but it is not difficult make it in home. My roommates and
I often invite friends to our home to eat hot pot together.
