Introduction

Hi everyone:

My name is Daihan Cheng, hope you all can pronounce it. I am from Chengdu, the biggest city in Southwestern China. Chengdu is famous for spicy food and the animal panda. Pandas are national treasure of China. Now I am the second year majoring in MPA, so I am so excited to get this internship to broaden my practical knowledges about campaign works. There is no such similar things like that in China, I believe this intern can bring me a different experience I haven't met before.

About my intern, my main tasks are to contact contributors and invite them to some great events to support congresswoman Kirkpatrick. I think it must be a good chance for me to improve my English.Haha~>.<

My goals:

1) improve my English speaking and listening skills
2) have a better understanding about campaign works in the USA context
3) balance well with my study and intern

  1. Hi Daihan. I really enjoyed reading your first post about your internship with Congresswoman Ann Kirkpatrick. I actually just finished up my summer internship in Congresswoman Sinema's District Office! I really enjoyed my time there, and I am sure you will learn a lot about campaigning and American politics in yours. I look forward to reading about your experiences in Ann Kirkpatrick's office!

  2. 好久不见, Daihan. And I completely agree with you that internship here definitely is a very great opportunity for international students like us to improve our English skills since during the process of internship we have to communicate with colleagues as well as supervisor in English. Anyways, it's good to see you again and enjoy your internship!
